Barefoot Conservation is a non-profit NGO specialising in Marine Conservation and Community Engagement projects. Our key activities revolve around our scientific research in Raja Ampat, performing daily baseline surveys on the coral reefs around the Dampier Strait, Raja Ampat. We also run a Manta Ray Research Programme, with affiliations with Aquatic Alliance (NGO) and Marine Mega Fauna (NGO). Our community outreach programme involves daily community projects like teaching English to children and adults, waste management, renewable energy and medical health clinics. All these projects are run in the remote coastal villages around the Dampier Strait.
